Staying in the Moment
To stay in the moment is to be cleansed of the fears of the past and to stop casting the darkness of the future onto today.
In a world where you cannot guess what will happen even a minute from now, worrying about the future is wasted time. Worry does nothing for what is going to happen.
Keep your subconscious clean, friends. Stay away even from negative gossip. We are a society for whom crying doom is an inherited trade. If you knew how those breathlessly told stories soil your subconscious, you would never again greet the people who speak only of the worst.
Sometimes you fall into a low mood for no reason. You hurt someone without noticing and understand it much later, if ever. Sometimes you catch yourself doing something unkind and defending it because it is only a small thing, eating into a right because everyone does it, telling a lie, lowering the value of goodness by saying that one cannot live otherwise.
Worse still, you carry on your journey without ever noticing any of it. In time you grow used to the lie, numb to the wrong, casual about failure, untroubled even by theft. The struggle against wrongdoing turns into a merely heroic pose.
The cause of this condition is entirely the pollution of your subconscious.
Here is advice worth gold for a happier life: avoid everything negative, never let a discussion turn into a quarrel, do not listen to ugly words and events, keep away from negative feelings and people.
Give your troubles a limited time, and only in order to solve them. Not solved? Set it aside. Believe me, brooding will solve nothing and will open far larger problems instead.
Life goes on one way or another, friends. Understand this first. Then explain it to whoever is causing your trouble, and let no one upset you or ruin your life.
We came to this world once and will not get another chance. You will live this present moment once, and it will not come back.
Now sit, think, and focus only on what gives you joy. Life is far better this way.
Come now, take it easy.
Be well.
