Sometimes You Must Forget What You Know
Sometimes you have to forget what you know and turn back from the road you took blindly.
Sometimes you have to forget what you know. You have to turn back from roads you took blindly. When you near the last exit before the cliff, you have to understand that this is your final chance.
You are asking what this man is on about again.
I came across a life a moment ago. A life moving loudly towards its end. It told me the most valuable things in life are perseverance and resolve. For the first time I faced the fact that this familiar, pleasant sounding motivation can also create an enormous trap.
Wait now.
Let us think calmly and clearly.
Perseverance and resolve are not always good things. If you lack the strength to tell right from wrong for yourself and you happen to be on a wrong road, perseverance is like scratching a wound that has scabbed over, scratching until it bleeds again.
You keep scratching with resolve, without stopping, even though it hurts, even though it bleeds. And your aim is to heal, is it?
It does not work that way. That perseverance is not a good perseverance.
Choose well what you persevere in, friends. Just as perseverance in the right place is the key to success, in the wrong place it is a cancer cell fastened to your body.
One must not confuse stubbornness with perseverance, nor push a finger into a blind eye.
Be well.
